The Invizi Team Behind the Scenes: Meet Shani!
Radiating positivity through everything she does, Shani’s a key part of the Invizi team.
We caught up with her to chat about her role, what she's passionate about and what advice she has to share with our readers.
So, who's Shani?
I’m someone that loves to be challenged, and I've always thought that my superpower is to serve others. I love to be involved in the community and always hope that what I do will inspire or empower the people around me.
I'm a wife to my husband Warren and a mum to my two kids Graeme and Allison. Family is very important to me. I really strive to have love and harmony within my family — I don't know if that's just part of being a mother, but that's something I truly believe in. I'm also a proud dog mum to my Mini Schnauzer Zuko!
When I'm not working, I love to go on walks — sometimes 15km or more, and ride on the tandem bike with my husband at least twice a week, cycling to different coffee shops or the nearest beaches where we might even have a swim.
What is something interesting that people might not know about you?
Something interesting is that our family (including our two dogs at the time, Jack and Jessie), relocated from South Africa to Australia seven years ago. We love to travel and have never been scared about living in new places, as we like to embrace new things. I think by living in a new country, we've learnt to adapt and make the best of every moment we share together as a family. We feel blessed with all the opportunities we have here, and we love being able to get to know Australia.
What’s your role at Invizi?
I’m in the supply chain team and I look after stock management, supplier invoices and also work with our warehouse partners. My role covers all the countries we do business in — Australia, UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain.
What do you love most about your job?
My favourite part of my job is being able to come to the office with my Mini Schnauzer Zuko, as well as being surrounded by the other team members' dogs.
I also love working with my colleagues and feel blessed to be apart of such a great team.
What’s your favourite memory from working at Invizi?
It would have to be our inaugural barbecue on the balcony. Everybody brought delicious food and the lunch together was just amazing.
What does a perfect weekend look like for you?
A perfect weekend would be spending time in nature with my family and friends. I also love going to our church — My husband and I serve regularly on the hospitality team. So we make barista-style coffee before and after the service — coffee is very important!
If you had a plane ticket right now to anywhere in the world, where would you travel to and why?
I would probably travel to Italy and France because I love to explore beautiful cities and vineyards. There's a lot of places that I'd love to go to and a lot of places that I want to go back to — Florence and Verona in Italy in particular, as I love the atmosphere and scenery.
If you could give our customers a piece of incontinence-related advice, what would it be?
I would tell our customers that incontinence does not define your identity. Make sure to find and use products that make you feel comfortable and safe, so that you have one less thing to worry about. At Invizi, this is something that we can easily help you achieve.
What is some advice that you live by?
I've tried to sum it up in one phrase — "live fearlessly with a loving and kind heart."
